About the Position:
We are seeking a highly organized, caring, and enthusiastic Assistant Director to help guide our preschool team. Your role will be to foster an atmosphere of joy, creativity, and security in our classrooms. Working in partnership with the Director, you will provide support to our staff, uphold licensing standards, and ensure our young learners continue to develop and flourish.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers and staff with daily routines, educational programming, and schedule management.
- Cultivate a nurturing, engaging, and well-organized setting for children to discover and learn.
- Maintain clear, warm, and professional communication with parents, team members, and the wider community.
- Support adherence to all state licensing rules and regulatory mandates.
- Be prepared to assist directly in the classroom as needed, demonstrating hands-on leadership.
Required Qualifications:
- Completion of 12 core semester units in Early Childhood Education or Child Development.
- Completion of 3 semester units in Administration or Staff Relations.
- Four years of teaching experience within a licensed group child care setting.
Alternatively, one of the following combinations will be accepted:
- An Associate\'s degree in Child Development, plus 3 units in Administration and 2 years of teaching experience.
- A Bachelor\'s degree in Child Development, plus 3 units in Administration and 1 year of teaching experience.
- Possession of a Child Development Site Supervisor Permit or Program Director Permit.
- Fulfillment of the School-Age Director qualifications as outlined in Health and Safety Code Section 1597.21.
Bilingual Candidates Welcome:
