Staff Accountant Position (Burbank)

An established accounting firm in Burbank, recognized as the 24th largest in the San Fernando Valley by the local Business Journal, is seeking CPA candidates specializing in taxation. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication abilities, teamwork skills, and computer proficiency. This role involves delivering high-quality tax, accounting, and client service support within a certified public accounting firm environment.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of tax returns for individuals, corporations, S-Corporations, LLC/LLP partnerships, estates, and trusts.
• Compile financial data to summarize financial status through the preparation of balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and related reports.
• Provide support on various special projects as required.
• Conduct tax research.
• Engage in business consulting activities.

Requirements

• Must have expertise in preparing individual, business, estate, and trust tax returns.
• Familiarity with CCH ProSystem FX Tax Software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) is advantageous.
• Capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced, demanding workplace.
• Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, strong analytical skills, and problem-solving ability.
• Possess superior written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, with the capacity to work effectively and efficiently under time constraints.
• Ability to collaborate and communicate well with colleagues.
• Must be focused on deadlines, thorough, dependable, personable, and energetic.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
• Information technology skills are a plus.
