Position: Stage Manager (Backstage Crew)
We are seeking dynamic, well-organized, and passionate backstage crew members to become part of our touring production staff. This role is ideal for individuals who excel in live-event settings, perform well in fast-paced situations, and take satisfaction in ensuring seamless operations behind the curtain. Each weekend brings new challenges and opportunities as you contribute to vibrant performances and help deliver a smooth experience for both dancers and spectators.

Responsibilities

• Assist with loading, setting up, and breaking down event equipment (must be able to lift up to 50 pounds)
• Install and secure Marley dance flooring
• Configure televisions, radios, iPods, and oversee the backstage application system
• Manage performer coordination and lineup schedules
• Foster positive interactions with studio representatives, directors, and clients
• Prepare the awards area and provide support onstage during presentations
• Ensure stage and backstage zones remain tidy, safe, and orderly
• Maintain clear and professional radio contact with fellow team members
• Follow instructions from Event Directors and collaborate effectively
• Monitor and report on award inventory, including incoming and remaining items

Qualifications

• Excellent organizational and communication abilities
• Capacity to remain composed and attentive in high-pressure scenarios
• Resourceful approach to problem-solving
• Team player with a strong dedication to work
• Ability to remain on one’s feet for extended periods (typically 25–40 hours per weekend)
• Must be available for travel from Thursday through Monday (with occasional Wednesday redeye flights)
• Must possess a valid government-issued ID or Passport
• Must be fully vaccinated or agree to supply weekly negative test results
• Previous experience with youth events or live productions is beneficial
• Dance background is advantageous but not mandatory

Compensation
Pay varies with experience: $200 – $1000 per event
Hourly rate: $16 – $18 per hour
Season commencement: February 2026
